"Friday some of us here in Fairbanks were treated to a 2h macro photography workshop by Harvard entomologist and photographer Piotr Naskrecki, in association another event, a book signing for his latest book "Relics". (More info on http://www.naskrecki.com/ ). Our entomologist and curator at the Alaska Museum of the North, Derek Sikes was the organiser, and is right now displaying many of his own excellent images in the exhibition "Leggy!" , which also includes many live arthropod specimens. While most of the time was used on modeling light on needled specimens, we got a quick go at the end on some of the live ones.
